Tramlight – Our Season Finale!

Join us for Tramlight, a magical end to the season at the National Tramway Museum! As dusk falls, the site will be illuminated, with glowing trams, live music, fascinating characters and an enchanting lantern trail bringing the museum to life.
Our illuminated trams will be running throughout the event, giving you the chance to enjoy a magical ride after dark.

Wander through Victoria Park to discover illuminated displays and atmospheric lighting, enjoy live music from local concert bands, and watch a variety of performances throughout the site. Meet the Victorian Re-enactment Group, Dr Melforde’s Travelling Curiosities and Wonders Show, enjoy magic shows in the Exhibition Hall, and look out for the Penny Arcade near Eagle Press.

Families can also make their own simple lantern in the marquee, while the highlight of the evening is the Enchanted Lantern Trail, created by Handmade Productions. Follow the trail from the outdoor playground end of the Woodland Walk to Derwent View, surrounded by glowing lanterns and magical displays.

The Enchanted Lantern Trail opens at 4.30pm on both days. Access to the trail will be from the entrance on Bandstand Road, and the Woodland Walk will remain closed until the trail opens.

• Saturday 7 November: 2pm–8pm (last tram 7.30pm)
• Sunday 8 November: 2pm–7pm (last tram 6.30pm)

Enchanted Lantern Trail times

• Saturday: 4.30pm–7.30pm
• Sunday: 4.30pm–6.30pm

Tickets

Please note that annual passes do not include Tramlight.

Advance tickets are available through our website at least 5 hours before your visit, saving you £2 per adult and £2.50 per child. Your ticket covers either day.
