Three Rover P4s and a 1952 Standard Vanguard Phase and 1989 Vauxhall Nova Merit will be visiting Crich today.
The owners of the Rover P4s are celebrating 75 years of the launch of the Rover P4 Cyclops back in 1949.
After several developments over the years from 1906, 1960 saw development concentrated into two models, the 100, which featured a short stroke version of the P5, seven bearing an engine 2625cc and the 80, which was a four-cylinder car having a 2286cc pushrod engine from Land Rover. The 100 is seen by enthusiasts as the pinnacle of the P4 developments. For 1963 the 80 was dropped, the 100 was replaced by the 95 but without overdrive. The top model was the 110, which incorporated the Weslake cylinder head modifications from the P5, and developed the most powerful P4 which still today provides a relaxed high speed motorway cruiser. At total of 130,342 cars wee produced and the last Rover P4 rolled of the line in 1964.
