Step back to 1940s Britain on the Homefront, with live entertainment from the 1940s and a range of nostalgic events.
There will be a children’s boot camp / drill for those brave enough to face Sergeant Major Marmite! Our ‘Winston Churchill’ will make rallying speeches at Town End and walk about meeting visitors.
Re enactors will be mingling and there will be group displays on Woodland Walk.
If you are a re-enactor or veteran we are asking that you do not have any obvious weapon displays in the main Tramway Village area – for queries, please email Candida Colgrave-Bell: Candida.ColgraveBell@tramway.co.uk .
We are now full for 1940s vehicle displays. Thank you to all those who have booked their vehicles in with us.
PLEASE NOTE, 12 MONTH RETURN TICKETS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS EVENT. Discounted admission for those dressing in 1940s costume – Adults and Seniors £15.00 on the day.
Gates open at 10am each day.
Vintage stalls, Spitfire, civilian and military displays and join in dances with Swing Cats at 12.00pm, 1.00pm and 3.00pm. Children can make their own gas mask boxes in the marquee.
