Music, food and beer make for a popular event and Bands at Crich features all these elements.
This year it runs from Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May and will include bands of different genres playing, plus a beer festival and our teams have been busy preparing for our Bands at Crich event
The programme of bands playing is now available along with the list of local ales available from the Red Lion Pub on our website. See:
On the Bank Holiday Monday, the Ripley Morris Men will also perform from 2pm in the period street.
Confirmed bands include Stunt Double playing from 2pm on Saturday 30th April and Andy Martin and Friends will be playing all day in the Red Lion on Monday the 2nd May.
Several bands will be playing at the Bandstand over the three days including: Crich Brass, Holymoorside Brass Band, Doveholes Brass Band, Escafeld of Sheffield Brass Band, New Mills Band and Belper Town (wind band).
Local breweries will be represented by the beer on offer in the on-site Red Lion pub. Tramway Mild is a popular favourite, specially brewed for Crich Tramway Village by Wentwell Brewery. Poets Tipple and Liquorice Alesort are the offerings from Ashover while Intrepid includes Mother’s Bruin. Other brewers include Gaol Ale, Great Newsome, Intrepid, Matlock, Peakstones and Thornbridge.
Brampton and Wentwell breweries will have stalls near the bandstand at the event, selling their own products, so you will be able to go along and find out more about these local brewers.
