A beautiful, warm Spring morning at Crich Tramway Village saw three open top trams placed in Service – LCC106, Glasgow 1068 and the Blackpool Boat 236 and they were very soon operating with full passenger loads. Children and their teachers enjoying school trips, coach parties, family groups and individual visitors, were all taking advantage of this welcome taste of early Summer. Planning for the ‘Beside the Seaside’ event, which is little more than a month away now, has been underway this morning. The event organising team are hoping that today’s weather is an omen of what late May and early June might bring.
